 DECtalk is one of the premier speech synthesizer programs available today. This program may be used in connection with a screen reading program such as JAWS, or in an augmentative communication device. DECtalk provides the speech capabilities to many of the portable communication devices available (and described here). DECtalk enables the user to choose from a variety of male and female voices, from a variety of ages. This feature enables the user to have speech that is similar to natural speech.
