 Liberator II is a writing tool that can be used as an alternative keyboard or environmental control device. It has 10 age and gender appropriate synthesized DECTalk voices to choose from. It is easy to use, and can be adapted as the user's needs change by adding or deleting vocabulary and updating icons. It has numerous features including four user areas which makes it useful for multiple clients. It also includes moveable icons, electronic notebooks for writing activities, text editing functions, audible scanning/feedback, 8-line display, and printer. Some teaching tools include Icon Prediction and Icon Tutor, word prediction to increase rate of long words or words used often, and Minserts which allows the user to have a library of generic phrases in which he or she can insert specific information.
