This program works with any Macintosh word processing program to predict words based on one or two typed letters. It is ideal for students who have difficulty with language, learning disabilities, or physical disabilities. It makes the writing process easier because it takes only a few keystrokes to select words from dictionaries ranging from 2,000 to 40,000 words that are chosen based on subject-verb agreement, grammar rules, and user's preference. The Co:Writer program shows a dual screen, the lower one is
Co:Writer, and the upper one is the word processor. When a sentence is
complete, Co:Writer sends it to the word processor; the words or sentences can be read aloud as they are typed to help users who have difficulties reading; and it allows the user to add special terms and names to a personal dictionary.
